ISLAMABAD (APP) Public sector departments have been asked to comply with the Establish Divisions D.O that prohibits government servants from contacting or making direct approaches to the foreign missions in Pakistan in connection with their private business. The following instructions of the government have been brought to the notice of all concerned for strict compliance and information: Instances have come to the notice that a number of Civil Officers, who have been interacting with the foreign diplomats, officially or in personal capacity, have developed intimate relations. These officers are lured in by the diplomatic missions for nomination in the foreign courses/workshops. Record of such offices is not kept by the concerned departments. However, these officers are tracked throughout their career by the concerned Consulate/Diplomats to establish personal relationship. The attachment of such officers with foreign missions subsequently goes beyond official requirements. They usually participate in the parties arranged by the foreigners at their residences/clubs. Attention is invited towards Establishment Divisions D.O dated 14-04-1990 whereby Government Servants have been prohibited from contacting or making direct approaches to the Foreign Missions in Pakistan in connection with their private business.
