QUETTA (APP) A complete strike was observed on Thursday in parts of Balochistan to mourn the killing of Mir Noorud Din Mengal, a member of the Central Executive Committee of Balochistan National Party-Mengal. Mir Noorud Din was shot dead by some armed men on Wednesday. Responding to the call given by the BNP-M in protest against the gory incident, markets and shops remained closed all day in Khuzdar, Kalat, Noshki and Kharan. The traffic plying on the roads was thin while people in such areas remained confined to their homes. Stringent security measures were adapted to avert any eventuality, however, no incident of violence was reported.
