WASHINGTON - The decades-old Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan should be settled through dialogue between the two neighbouring countries, a State Department spokesman said Wednesday. Questioned at the regular noon briefing whether there has been a change in U.S. stand on Kashmir, Deputy Spokesman Tom Casey said, "No, there's no change in U.S. policy on this. "Certainly, we believe that any differences between India and Pakistan are things that should be resolved through dialogue. And as you know, we've supported dialogue and discussion among the parties in the past, and we'll continue to do so," he added. His remarks came in response to a question about a statement by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani that Kashmir was a core issue in the relations between India and Pakistan and that it should be resolved in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions.
