Cache of arms, suicide jackets recovered

QUETTA-Chaman police recovered a huge quantity of explosive devices and suicide jackets from a house from bordering town of Chaman after a blast on Tuesday. The official sources said a blast occurred at a house in Hafizabad area of Chaman. Nobody was present in the house when police personnel reached the site of the blast. However, police recovered explosive materials, four locally made bombs and 7 suicide jackets which are used in attacks from the house. Police has registered a case and started search to arrest the accused who were occupying the house. In another incident, a team of Crime Investigation Department seized arms and arrested an accused from Dasht area of Mastung near Quetta. According to details, on a secret information CID police conducted a raid in Dasht area and recovered one rocket launcher, two LMGs and thousands of rounds. The accused who was arrested in the raid has been identified as Habibullah. Police has registered cases of both the incidents and started investigations. Meanwhile, security has been further tightened at Pak-Afghan border area at Chaman and Chagai districts after massive military offensive against Taliban in Helmand province of Afghanistan by US and NATO forces. The sources said that security had been put on high alert while checking of people coming from Afghanistan had been also tightened to avoid penetration of militants into Pakistan.
