Chairman NA Body accuses Sindh Home Minister of stopping process of degrees' verification

Chairman NA Standing Committee on Education, Abid Sher Ali has accused Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza of pressurizing HEC to stop process of verification of degrees of Parliamentarians. Talking to a private TV channel, Chairman NA Standing Committee said that the HEC is being pressurized to stop process of verification of degrees to save PPP Government in Sindh. He opined that if degrees are to be verified by Sindh University according to merit, then several members of Provincial Assembly would be declared ineligible. Responding to a question, Abid Sher Ali said that media is cooperating with him on fake degree issue, however, some journalists are creating problems for him. Asked about position of Quaid PML-N, Nawaz Sharif on the issue, Chairman NA Standing Committee said that Nawaz Sharif has no objections on the verification of degrees of Parliamentarians. He said that after the verification of degrees of members Parliament, degrees of Employees of Private and Government Educational institutions, Doctors, Engineers and Officers would be verified in the second and third stage.
