US drones kill 15 in NWA

PESHAWAR At least 15 people were killed in two separate US drone attacks in North Waziristan Agency late on Monday evening. In the first attack, the unmanned plane fired two missiles targeting a house in the Khesro village, killing nine suspected militants and destroying the house completely. Official sources said that the house was a militants compound. In another strike, the US drone fired two missiles at a moving vehicle in Miranshah, killing five travellers and destroying their vehicle completely. It was the fifth drone attacks in the month of May that claimed the lives of many people. Our staff reporter from Attock adds: Two Nato oil tankers were reduced to ashes near Khaur police post, some 90 km from Attock on Fatehjang-Talagang Road. Sources said the two Nato oil tankers were on the way to Afghanistan when they came under attack at about 2am on Monday night. The drivers and his helper flee when the attack occurred, said sources. But, police alleged the drivers and helper might have torched the tankers. On May 1 more than 18 Nato oil tankers were torched by miscreants on the same road, killing five policemen and injuring 6 constables.
