Kashmiris in UK will observe India's republic day as black day

The UK-based Kashmiris will observe January 26, India's Republic Day, as Black Day to apprise the world community that the Kashmiris want their inalienable right to self-determination. According to Kashmir Media Service, the decision was taken by the Advisory Council of Kashmir Centre London in a meeting presided over by Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl. Others who were present on the occasion included Raja Mohammad Ayub, President of Advisory Council, Irshad Malik Secretary General and Sabir Hussain Chief Coordinator. The participants were informed that the Black Day would also be observed in Birmingham and Edinburgh. The Kashmiris observe January 26 as Black Day because India has failed to fulfill its promises and commitments made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. On the day Indian government would be asked to give the people of Jammu and Kashmir their right of self-determination so that they could choose a political future by themselves.
