PESHAWAR - Father of Waqarul Hasan, Special Secretary to NWFP Chief Minster, has been kidnapped by some unknown armed men form Hayatabad, sources disclosed on Monday. According to details, Minhajul Hassan, father of Waqarul Hasan, was kidnapped from phase-6 of the locality where he had gone to see his under-construction house. The sources said that the kidnappers appeared all of sudden there and kidnapped Mihhajul Hassan. Later, they drove him to an unknown location in a car. Soon after the incident, police reached the site and began search for the kidnappers. However, they remained unsuccessful in their efforts till the filing of the report. Moreover, immediately after the incident, the law enforcement agencies put the security on high alert all over the city and the adjacent rural and tribal areas. The political administration of Khyber Agency has directed the security personnel to remain extremely vigilant and intensify the surveillance in the area. So far no one has claimed the responsibility for the abduction of Minhajul Hassan. However, militants and kidnappers operating in the nearby areas of Khyber Agency and Bara are believed to be the prime suspects.
