Retired spy, with Pak experience, hired to run CIA clandestine service

WASHINGTON John Bennett, who oversaw CIAs Predator drone programme, has been named as the new head of the CIAs clandestine service, according to US media reports. A veteran operative who ran the agencys spy operations in Pakistan, Bennett will replace Michael Sulick in one of the most important jobs in the spy agency. Bennett will be in-charge of all clandestine operations. He retired in May but was picked to return to the CIA, leapfrogging several other senior CIA officials who had been angling for the coveted job.
