ISLAMABAD (APP) - On the directives of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), all the cellular companies have put a halt on Blackberry services in Pakistan for blocking Facebook till further notice. Although the PTA has blocked Facebook, but yet the website is accessible on Blackberry handsets as these services are routed through RIM servers. The sources said that in order to avoid this, PTA has asked all cellular companies to immediately block all Blackberry services till further notice. The PTA has issued the directives on the orders of Lahore High Court who had asked the government to make sure that Facebook is blocked for all the internet users in Pakistan.
