Electricity shortfall in the country has reached up to 4059 MW due to which masses are facing a lot of difficulties. According to PEPCO spokesperson, currently power demand in the country is 18677 MW while power production is 14618 MW, out of which 650 MW has been provided to Karachi. He further told that the Hydral power production is 5703 MW, Thermal power production is 1922 MW, IPPs is 6800 MW, and Rental power production is 193 MW. Due to this decrease in electricity production in the country electricity load shedding hours in the cities has reached up to 6-8 hours and in the villages up to12-14 hours. Masses area facing a lot of difficulties due to this during Sahar and Aftar, and they have protested against government in various areas of the country as well.
