MINGORA - As a result of hectic efforts initiated by Tehrik Nifaz-e-Shariah Mohammadi (TNSM) Chief Maulana Sufi Mohammad, both the government and Taliban agreed on a permanent ceasefire in Swat valley on Tuesday. Talking to media persons, Spokesman of TTP Swat Haji Muslim Khan said the TTP was announcing permanent ceasefire. This decision, according to Muslim Khan, was made in TTP Swat Central Shura meeting chaired by Maulana Fazalullah. The TTP announced ceasefire when Maulana Sufi arrived at Mingora in a procession. Sources said that the peace rally led by Sufi Mohammad while passing through various routes reached Mingora city where it set up peace camp. On this occasion, various peace delegations hailing from far-flung areas of Swat district came and presented valuable suggestions for the everlasting peace in the area. It may be mentioned here that TTP Swat chapter made this announcement in response to an appeal made by Maulana Sufi.
