The Election Tribunal has declared Gen(R)Abdul Qadir Baloch as successful in the election results of National Assemblys constituency NA-271 in Quetta. Earlier, PML-Q candidate Ehsanullah Reki was declared winner from the constituency, and rival candidate Abdul Qadir Baloch had challenged the result through an election petition. In the recounting of votes, an Election Tribunal declared Gen (R)Abdul Qadir Baloch as winner. Abdul Qadir Baloch had recently joined Muslim League (Nawaz). In the recounting Baloch took 922 votes more than the rival Ehsanullah Reki.
