The supply of contaminated water in Jilalpur Sharif, area of Jehlum is causing disease amongst the residents while they have demanded of the high authority to take notice of the situation. Talking to Online News agency here on Thursday, the residents of Jilalpur Sharif complained that water pipelines were laid down 30 year back and now the pipelines have broken. The muck of gutters and water underground sewerage lines is mixing in potable water making it filthy. The water is stingy, smelly, and causing diarrhea, hepatitis, and other dangerous diseases amongst the residents. The residents are compelled to drink contaminated water as there is no any other choice. The residents have demanded of Chief Minister Punjab to take notice of the situation, repair broken pipelines, separate sewerage lines to pipelines and ensure supply of potable water in the area as soon as possible.
