Khyber Pakhtunkhwa general secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Muhammad Qasim has said that the party would strongly resist in and out of the parliament if the government and military establishment decided to launch an operation in North Waziristan. Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of annual function here in Malakand at Darul Uloom Shergarh on Sunday, the JUI-F MNA criticised both the federal and provincial governments over lawlessness, corruption, nepotism, price hike, kidnapping for ransom and unemployment saying these problems have engulfed the whole nation while the rulers were enjoying luxurious life. "No one in the government is taking notice of the problems of the common man," Maulana Muhammad Qasim said, adding that rulers have totally failed at all fronts. The JUI-F leader said that millions of Afghan nationals had been staying in Pakistan but security forces were conducting raids on religious seminaries and arresting the Afghan citizens studying in these seminaries. He condemned raids on seminaries and termed them against the teaching of Islam. He demanded of the government and law enforcement agencies to stop raiding Islami 'madaris' as these had been providing education facilities to the peaceful people. While talking about the MMA revival, Maulana Qasim blamed Jamaat-i-Islami of their double standard attitude and said that the JI had not been sincere in MMA's revival. Responding to a question, Maulana Qasim condemned the prolonged load shedding and asked the federal Government to stop the inhuman behavior to the public. He asked the Government to ensure the availability of Electricity to masses in equal manner as they pay for it. He said that there is no shortage of energy in the country, but the high ups have imposed shortage of every thing just for their own corruption.
