Petrol price reaches 130/litre in Sindh

KHAIRPUR - People in the Interior Sindh are facing severe troubles due to acute shortage of petrol, diesel and mobile oil in the area for the last three days. The transporters have been forced to purchase petrol for Rs 130/litre and diesel Rs 120/ per litre while the mobile oil is being sold from Rs 100 to Rs 500/litre. Residents of Khairpur, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Larkana, Naushehro Feroze and Ghotki districts have to face very wrong attitude of the workers at petrol pumps. Dozens of the citizens in Khairpur told the journalists that local petrol pumps have refused to sell petrol so they have to go to Pir Jo Goth in order to purchase the commodity at rate worth Rs 130/ per litre. They further said that acute shortage of petroleum is being created deliberately by the government agencies and the petrol pumps dealers. They alleged that petrol and diesel are being smuggling to Afghanistan and other countries. The people have demanded of the government to take strict and immediate measures to provide petroleum to the masses at affordable price.
