The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) sources Thursday said an important extremist has been arrested from Swat. The militant leader Ghani ur Rehman, who came from Afghanistan three years ago, was involved in attacks on the security personnel in Pakistan. The extremist used to receive Rs20,000 for every murder of security troops. He confessed all the charges against him during the interrogation. It is pertinent that he was charged with slaughter of at least five police and killing a soldier. The ISPR also added that another 25 suspected men have been taken into custody during the search operation, which continued on the second day today in the main city of Swat, Mingora.
