Zardari consents to Musharraf exit

LAHORE-PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that solution to all problems lies in a public revolution. He said that nation is ready for this revolution as ground for it has been prepared. He said that this is the only way to get rid of Musharraf also. He expressed these views while addressing a jam-packed gathering held in connection with Youm-i-Takbeer at Aiwan-i-Iqbal here on Wednesday. He said that loud and clear verdict given by people against Musharraf on February 18th polls had raised the hope for change in the country. He said that PPP-Co Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari missed the golden opportunity. He said a bigger and daring decision than the mandate of February 18th polls was demanded by Pakistanis. He said that the decision is only for a 'public revolution for which everybody is ready'. He said that had he been given power after February 18 polls, he would have got Musharraf out of President House the very next day without any delay. Nawaz said that during his meeting with PPP-Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari , the former had assured him of ousting Musharraf soon. He announced that if Asif Ali Zardari failed to get the judges restored, he would join the lawyers bus to march towards Islamabad. Participants of Youm-e-Takbeer ceremony kept chanting slogans of longlive Pakistan and livelong Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz further said that 'I am observing a strange scene of passion among the people which I never witnessed during public meetings and rallies anywhere else in the country'. He said after peeping into the overwhelming passion, he could foresee that fate of Pakistan was going to change. 'The eyes of every participant is assuring me that future of Pakistan will be in the hands of people instead of a dictator', he said and ,added, that if he could make Musharraf see the scene, he was witnessing now, Musharraf would take to heels at once. Calling every participant of Youm-i-Takbeer as 'my lions', he said that PML-N had sworn to change the system for the betterment of people of Pakistan. He said that to live up to the promises, PML-N would not retreat even from the sacrifice of its blood. PML-N Quaid, making participants recite famous verses of Allama Iqbal, said that whenever he found himself in difficult situation, the verses of Allama Iqbal worked to reinforce his strength and will-power. He said that today he wanted to give everyone a lesson of self-respect, as this was the key of success. He said that when he took hard decisions including May 28th, 1998 atomic bombs detonation, the self-respect helped him as a beacon of light. He said that Musharraf was mother of all problems. 'When my govt was toppled illegally, country was heading toward prosperity and people were not witnessing price-hike, joblessness, and even the problems of atta and loadshedding was not there while people were not going missing', he added. He said that there was no sign of suicide bombings. He said that after Musharraf seized power, situation started moving towards decline. 'Ego of nation was trampled, sacrifices of Kashmiris was bartered, hero of nation Dr.Abdul Qadeer Khan was imprisoned and country become a colony of foreign power', he added. He called Musharraf a lier, saying what he promised, never fulfilled. He said that Musharraf promised nation that if people gave verdict against him, he would step down himself, but he did not keep his words as people gave mandate against him on February 18 polls, but he was still sticking to his chair. He said that he forgave Musharraf for what he did against him and his family. 'I forgave him for sacking his Constitutional govt. I forgave Musharraf for his mala fide action to maltreat him, to put him behind bars, maltreat his wife and mother, to disallow him to attend his father's funeral , to put him in forced exile two times and all other threatening and harassing moves against him', he added. But I would never forgive him for what he did to the country and the nation, he said. He said that nation became laughing stock in the world, country was made slave of America, bloodshed was made people's fate, political and economic crisis were given as gift to people, independence of judiciary and media were put on stake, judges were sacked to prolong  rule. Nisar Ali Khan said 'on May 28th, 1998, Pakistan exploded nuclear bombs which made us a proud nation.
