The boys hostel of Hazara University in Mansehra completely burnt to ashes in the wee hours of Monday, police said. According to the university administration, the incident occurred due to a short circuit, a fire broke out in the boys hostel of the university. The students and teachers residing in the hostel tried to control the fire, but failed. Later on, they called the fire brigade. During this period, the fire continued to spread rapidly as wood was used in bulk in the construction of the hostel. The fire spread all across the hostel and completely burnt it.
