Two suicide bombers rammed an explosives packed vehicle with the car of a police official killing three policemen including DSP Shafqat Khan and the two attackers. DSP Shafqat Khan was travelling from Lakki to Peshawar in a private car with his gunman and driver when the suicide bombers rammed their explosives laden vehicle with his car near Litambar police station. DSP Shafqat, his guard and driver were killed in the attack along with two suicide bombers. After the attack police cordoned off the area and initiated search operation.
