Top bureaucracy reshuffled

ISLAMABAD Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday made changes in bureaucracy at top level, which included transfers of Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other high ups to bring about revolutionary changes. According to PM House spokesman, Prime Minister Gilani has given formal approval regarding reshuffling in high-level bureaucracy. Accordingly, Athar Tahir has been made Federal Secretary Education, Asif Bajwa Secretary Statistics, Irfan Nadeem, Secretary Science and Technology, Saeed Ahmed Khan, Secretary Overseas Pakistanis, KB Rind, Secretary Social Welfare, Javed Iqbal, Secretary Water and Power, Wajid Rana, Special Secretary Finance, Shahid Raja, Secretary Railways, Shafqat, Secretary Food and Agriculture, Tariq Shafi, Secretary Production and Arif Azeem, Additional Secretary Ministry for Labour and Manpower. Sources told that reshuffling in high-level bureaucracy including a number of Secretaries has occurred due to lacklustre performance of some of the Secretaries who failed to achieve targets.
