About six paramilitary troopers and more than twenty-five militants were killed on Wednesday in an attack and retaliatory operation in Khyber Agency. At least six Pakistani soldiers were killed in a suicide blast Wednesday in Khyber Agency bordering Afghanistan, state television reported. The attack by a suicide bomber at Jansi Fort near Bara town in Khyber agency also injured 20 other security personnel, the TV reported. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack after which curfew was imposed in the area. The report said security forces also launched counter attacks and killed 25 militants shortly after the suicide attack. They blew up an explosives-laden vehicle and launched a search operation in the town. Several militant groups including the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan are active in Khyber agency
