Six Iranian Kurds held from Sherani

ZHOB (APP) - Security forces have arrested six Iranian Kurds, who were traveling to Lahore via D I Khan without legal documents, at a checkpoint in district Sherani, Friday. According to the local administration, the Iranian nationals, who were identified as Abdul Basit, Abdullah, Muhammad Hanif, Abdul Rehman, Abdul Aziz and Saeed were arrested during routine checking of the local buses at Manni Khwa checkpoint. They did not possess legal traveling documents and were subsequently arrested and handed over to the concerned department for further interrogation. An official familiar with interrogation process said that the arrested people were apparently on their way to Lahore to participate in the annual Tableeghi Ijtimaa at Raiwind near to Lahore. Our Staff Reporter adds: A child was injured in a hand grenade attack in Khuzdar district on Thursday. The sources said that unidentified people hurled a hand grenade on truck carrying minerals to Karachi from Khuzdar. A child sustained injuries when hand grenade exploded with a huge explosion. The attackers managed to escape from the scene. Meanwhile, the first consignment of relief goods of worth Rs 10 million, on behalf of Headquarters Southern Command, for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Waziristan was dispatched here on Thursday. According to details, first consignment of relief goods was dispatched through a PAF C-130 aircraft while more relief goods would also be sent within two days. Pak Army would distribute relief goods among IDPs of Waziristan under its own supervision. The relief goods included blankets, food, tents and other basic necessities. It is worth mentioning that the officers and Jawans of Pak Army Balochistan had also dispatched relief consignments for the earthquake affectees of Muzaffarabad, Balakot and Swat.
