TEXAS: A woman tragically plunged to her death when the “safety bar released” as she rode on a roller coaster.
The horrifying accident happened at the Six Flags Over Texas theme park in Arlington, Texas – the park’s second fatality in ten years. Shocked witnesses say they saw her fall from the giant amusement ride but park officials will not confirm reports.
Carmen Brown, who was behind the woman, said: “We heard her screaming. We were like, ‘Did she just fall?’.” The witness also told how she saw the woman being strapped into the seat next to her son. She added: “She goes up like this, then, when it drops to come down, that’s when it [the safety bar] released and she just tumbled.”
According to another witness, riders were hysterical and crying as children yelled “we have to get my mum” when the ride finished.–The Sun
 Emergency crews had to use a ladder to reach the woman’s body because she fell onto a platform below the tracks.
Once recovered, her body was taken away by a “funeral home vehicle”. The park said in a statement: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends during this difficult time.”
In 1999, a 28-year-old Arkansas woman died and ten others were injured when a boat capsized on the Roaring Rapids ride at the same park. The Sun
