Wapda win National Wrestling

LAHORE - Wapda scooped seven gold medals to clinch the National Wrestling Championship title here at Punjab College Hall on Tuesday.
Wapda wrestlers remained all time king of the premier activity by grabbing all the seven gold medals at the stake and collected 70 points as the title winners. Behind Wapda were Punjab with four silver medals and one bronze collecting 58 points as Police contended with the third place having won one silver and three bronze for total 51 points.
Higher Education Commission (HEC) were at number four position with four bronze and KPK got the fifth with 49 points with one silver and three bronze. Islamabad finished sixth with one silver and three bronze for taking 45 points while Balochistan and Sindh could not win any medal.
Pakistan Wapda Sports Board president Yousaf Naseem Khokhar was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and gave away medals and prizes to the top performers. Wapda Sports Board GM M Khalid Mahmood, Wapda Sports Board DG Mian Rifat Mahmood and Punjab College of Commerce principal Prof Agha Tahir Ijaz were also present on the occasion.
