8-star Ikram destroys Karachi Blues in G-I Quaid Trophy

KARACHI - Ikramullah produced one of the best spells of the current Quaid-e-Azam Trophy division I taking eight for 51 against Karachi Blues which surrendered meekly for 142 in its first innings on the second day of the four day match here Thursday at the national stadium. Abbottabad resuming its first innings at 210 for nine were all out for low 216. Sami took the last wicket to finish with five for 60. Karachi Blues was expected to give a strong reply but their batting collapsed before Ikramullah. Wajhid Ali took the other two wickets for just two runs. M Sami scored 32 that helped his team to cross the hundred mark. Wajihuddin added 35 runs to the home teams total. At the close of the second days play Abbottabad in its second innings had scored 110/3 gaining an overall 184 runs advantage with two days to go in the competition. Scores. In division II match of the championship now in progress here at the NBP Cricket Stadium Karachi Whites Behram Khan and M Hassan added near record breaking 359 for the fifth wicket stand against Lahore Shalimar. Behram scored 175 and Hassan remained unbeaten on 251 as the host team put up a total of 551 for seven declared in its first innings.
