Mudassar in junior tennis final
 
 
 


ISLAMABAD - Top seed M Mudassar disposed off Raja Shahid in three sets in the semifinal and will now face Adil Kohari in the Boys Under-18 final.
Pakistan number 1 U-14 player Syed Nofil Kaleem brushed aside Kashan Umer of Peshawar in an one-sided semifinal 6-0, 6-2 and will now meet Muzammil in the Boys U- 14 final of the First Coca Cola Junior Ranking Tennis Championship 2012 at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad which will be played today (Thursday).
In the boys U-18 semifinal top seed Mudassar had to fought hard to win his encounter against Raja Shahid of Islamabad Tennis Complex.
Raja Shahid won the first set in tie break 10-4, Mudassar fought back in the second set and won the set 6-4 by breaking 9th game of Raja Shahid.
In the third and final set both players displayed quality tennis as long rallies but not ready to concede and the set was locked at 4-4 as both players held their respective services. At this stage M. Mudassar played excellent passing shot and broke the service of Raja Shahid and got crucial 5-4 lead and in the next game he held his serve to win the third set 6-4 and won the match by 6-7, 6-4 and 6-4.
In the second semifinal second seed Adil Kohari of Karachi eliminated Kashan ul Haq of Islamabad in a well-contested two set match 6-4, 6-2. Adil will now face top Muddasar in the final. 
In the boy's Under-14 category, top seed Syed Nofil Kaleem outplayed Kashan Umer of Peshawar by 6-0, 6-2.
In the second semifinal M. Muzammil, brother of Mudassar from Jahanian beat Asad Ullah Khan of Peshawar in a three-set thriller i 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. Although Muzammil lost the first set, but he bounced back strongly to win the next two sets. He will face top seed Nofil Kaleem in the final, both the finals will be played today at 2:00 pm.
