Shehzad wins Motocross Challenge free class title

ISLAMABAD

Shehzad Gugu lifted free class category of NLC Motocross Challenge held at Motocross track Wednesday. Director General Army Heritage Foundation Brigadier (retd) Wiqar Gul was the chief gues.

Over 200 bikers got registered themselves for the competition out of which only 50 met the criteria set by the organisers. The teams were divided into four classes as per the capacity of the motorbikes. The first class was dedicated to 70cc road bikes, the second class included road bikes of 100cc to 125cc, third class has designated 100cc to 125 trails while the fourth one was the free class category. As many as 51 teams qualified for the final contest. The teams were divided in a group of six for four rounds on 1.4 kilometer track.

In the first class category, Balaj Waris Munna won the first position, Ali Farrukh secured second while M Amir got third. The second-class category was won by Shehzad Yaqub while Syed Shujaat Heri and Zeeshan Baig stood second and third respectively. In the third class category, Yasir Akhlaq got first position while Zubair Butt and Nauman were declared second and third respectively. The winner of free class category was Shehzad Gugu while Mian Zubair clinched second and Zaigham Sohail got third.
