WAPDA appoints Habib as coach in Premier League

LAHORE WAPDA has approved Muhammad Habib as a qualified coach and he has been handed over the charge of the team for the remaining 14 matches of WAPDA in Pakistan Premier Football League. WAPDA is currently on top of the tree with 41 points in 16 matches and their 17th match will be on Tuesday, November 2 at Peshawar against Pakistan Air Force. WAPDA managed 43-11 goal counts so far. Habib is one of the successful coaches working for Asian Football Confederation (AFC) AID-27 Financial Assistance Scheme under directives of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat. Habib, who attended National Camps of Barcelona Olympics 1992 and SAG 1993, is among most successful coaches, working under Asian Football Confederation (AFC)s AID-27 Financial Assistance Scheme, winning back-to-back gold during National U16 Championship at Khanewal 2007 and Lahore 2009. Earlier this year, he lifted winning trophy for Punjab by winning third National U21 Championship at Islamabad. Habib was also runner-up with Faisalabad Whites during 19th National U18 Championship 2007.
