Ch Shujaat's kabaddi body declared legal

LAHORE The Ministry for Sports has declared the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation as a genuine and recognised kabaddi federation of Pakistan. The Ministry of Sports stated that the genuine Kabaddi Federation is headed by Senator Ch. Shujaat Hussain with secretary M. Sarwar and it is recognised and affiliated kabaddi federation of Pakistan. A few days ago, Indian High Commission had written a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan and sought information about the genuine kabaddi federation of Pakistan. A fake kabaddi federation in India had invited some team from the bogus kabaddi federation of Pakistan. Their intention was to conduct the series between Pakistan and India but the PKF took serious note of this unauthorised kabaddi teams visit to India and informed the recognized Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and relevant departments in the country about this matter, the PKF said. In response to this letter and news published in India, the AKF also took notice and wrote a letter to Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in India and said that AKFI would not be responsible for anything related to entry of unauthorized personnel. According to media reports, the unauthorised kabaddi federations in Pakistan and their counterparts in India were arranging the series of 15 matches between Pakistani and Indian illegal teams. These matches were scheduled in September in different cities in India.
