LAHORE - Sports Writers Association of Punjab (SWAP) XI scored a thumping nine-wicket win over Sports Journalists Association of Lahore (SJAL) in a Twenty20 match played here at the LCCA ground on Tuesday. SJAL reached 113-3 as the 20 overs match was reduced to 12 overs after their captain Afzal Ahmad won the toss and elected to bat. Ibrahim was top scorer with 34 runs followed by Taqveem Shah 15 and Azhar Masood 11. Ghalib Bajwa, who opened the innings, fell at just one runs. Imran Sohail and Ahmad Raza grabbed two wickets each for SWAP. Sarfraz Ahmad was the manager of SJAL while Syed Ali Hashmi was the coach. Chasing a modest target, SWAP raced through the victory putting up 114 for just one wicket in 10 overs. Man of the match Faraz Haider batted with authority and command and scored breezy unbeaten 60. Musa Bilal Warraich added 15 and Abdul Qayum 10. Sohail Ali was the manager of SWAP and Amir Raza was the coach. Muhammad Kaleem and Mahmood Ahmed were the umpires and Abdul Hameed was the scorer.
