ISLAMABAD It seems that there is something wrong with the PCB Chairman as he is continuously acting against the wishes of the people and is least bothered about their sentiments and feelings. The nation is still in shock of defeat against England and PCB is rubbing salt on their wounds by making situation worst and not including Younus Khan in the team. It appears that there is something fishy in the entire Ijaz-Younus saga. Despite being the most reliable player, PCB is not ready to utilise Younus services, in spite of the fact that he is already applying his trade in the English county and is familiar with the English conditions. The National Assemblys Standing Committee on Sports must seek an explanation from Ijaz Butt as why he is not recalling Younus in the team. After all it is the right of the masses to know what is exactly happening in the state of the affairs in the PCB. Why is one man ruining the whole system for ones personal reasons? The PCB selection committee is destroying the youngsters career by exposing them against sides like Australia and England. It is not at all the fault of Umer Amin or any other younger player, as they are not familiar with the English conditions. All other Test playing nations induct young blood after proper training and seniors guidance. Hasan Raza is one such example as he was picked for the national team at a very young age of 16 years and now he has been totally out of scene since long. Manager of Pakistani cricket team, Yawar Saeed, is definitely enjoying his boss confidence and backing, as he is always with the team in one or another capacity. It is his job to look after the discipline of the players, a role which he never performed. There has been always infightings and media leakages whenever he is at the helm of affairs. It is high time to replace him with someone who really knows the job. The inclusion of Muhammad Yousuf is a step in the right direction at least for the time being, but one cant rely on him solely as he has been out of sight in the realm of cricket since long. Younus is a premier choice for the one-down position - the most critical one specially in the longer version of the game like Test matches - and can prove himself as the backbone of the team if the openers fail to deliver, as there is every such possibility and it is evident from the past and present performance of the team. Furthermore a player like him can avoid further catastrophe. He has got what takes one player at the highest level and he has proved it in the past with his brilliant batting displays. The ship of Pakistan cricket is sinking fast and the situation is getting out of control because the selectors are not paying attention to strengthening of the middle-order. The team needs Misbah-ul-Haq as well because of his vast experience and cool head. Umar Amin, Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik should be replaced with Misbah, Yousuf and Younus. On the other hand Kamran Akmal should be replaced with Zulqarnain Haider, as team cant afford any further damage from his errors behind the wickets. Kamran is also not getting runs so there is no place for him in the playing eleven. The whole nation is demanding the expulsion of PCB Chairman and his entire staff but the Patron-in-Chief is not paying heed to this for reasons best known to him. Only the Almighty God knows how much the country will suffer due to incumbent PCB officials.
