LAHORE - Pakistan was made proud by young Neha Arshad when she won glittering silver medal in 400 meter race of athletics event of the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Games 2013 at New Castle Australia.
According to information made available here on Monday, Neha finished 1.40.09 minutes for silver while Lealofi of Samoa won gold medalist with 1.30.28 minutes. Saima Ayob finished fourth in 400 meters race. The divisioning of most of the sports were completed which is based on ability and age of athletes. Today (Tuesday), main and few devisioning rounds are scheduled at various venues. Pakistan is taking part in 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 meters, long jump and 4*100 meters relay. In all, 381 athletes are taking part in these athletics events. The mascot of the Games is Koala Bear which is native of New castle neighborhood.
