Pakistan, India in U-19 Asia Cup final

SHARJAH:- A hat-trick from the leg spinner Karamat Ali, followed by Sami Aslam’s 75, powered Pakistan into the U-19s Asia Cup final after they edged Afghanistan by two wickets in Sharjah. Karamat dismissed M Mujtaba, Hashmatullah Shaidi and Sayed Shirzad off successive deliveries in the 46th over to finish with 5-33 and bundle Afghanistan out for 196. Pakistan U-19s achieved the required target in 48.2 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Meanwhile in another semi-final, India U-19s overcame a tense chase, thanks to a half-century from Ankush Bains, to beat Sri Lanka U-19s by three wickets.–Agencies
