President, PM lead congratulations to team as Afridi gets plot

LAHORE - The entire nation along with noted personalities of the country extended their hearty felicitations on Pakistan team’s impressive win over India while Afridi, who was the hero of the clash of titans, got a plot from Bahria Town.
President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Mian M Nawaz Sharif led the congratulations for Pakistan cricket team. The President and Prime Minister felicitated the team for its marvellous performance and also greeted the entire nation over the team’s triumph. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee (MC) chairman Najam Sethi also felicitated the green shirts and the entire team management on their vital victory.
Talking to The Nation, Sethi said: “It’s a remarkable win the men in green registered against India and I hope they will continue perform well in the next matches and will return home as Asia Cup crowned champions.”
Meanwhile, Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz had also congratulated Pakistan cricket team and especially Shahid Afridi for playing match-winning unbeaten innings. In his message, Malik Riaz also announced a one-kinal plot in Karachi for Pakistan cricket team hero Shahid Khan Afridi.
Meanwhile, former MNA and prominent political figure of Rawalpindi M Hanif Abbasi has also announced a special award of pure gold medal for Afridi on behalf of people of Rawalpindi which will be handed over to the hero of the nation in a special ceremony.  “Afridi has made entire Pakistan proud and as a representative of Rawalpindi, it is my moral duty to honour the favorite son of the soil in best possible manner,” Hanif Abbasi concluded.
