PBF boss vows to promote badminton

PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations and newly-elected President of Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that promotion of badminton was his top most priority and for the purpose maximum events of Badminton would be conducted and in every nook and corner of the country. He was talking to a delegation of PBF led by Vice President of Pakistan Technical Badminton Association Col (Retd) Amanat Ali at Peshawar, which called on him to congratulate him on new responsibilities as President of PBF. Other members of the delegation were General Secretary Pakistan Technical Badminton Association Raja Azhar Mehmud, Joint Secretary of PBF Tahir Ishaq, President of FATA BA, Riyasat Ali, GS KP Bedmenton Association Amjad Khan and Finance Secretary KPBA Abdus Salam. Members of the delegation besides discussing the affairs of badminton also conveyed a congratulation message of the General Secretary of PBF Amer Rokri MPA. Members of the delegation assured their full support to Mian Iftikhar Hussain. The newly-elected President of PBF on the occasion said that he was the lover of games by heart that was why he was actively engaged in the preparation of 31st National Games and even attended most of the events of the Games. He continued that new responsibilities were a challenging task and would take it as a challenge. Mian Iftikhar Hussain categorically clarified that there was no place for unelected people in the PBF body and he would ensure the supremacy of merit and its true spirit in the body. He while referring to the successful conduction of 31st National Games maintained that it was appositive message to the world that after successful holding of National Games in terrorism hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, now any events of sports in any part of country could be held successfully.
