SSA office bearers elected

KARACHI - Engineer Tahir Khanzada, who for the last eight years had worked hard as secretary to promote squash in the province, was elected as president of Sindh Squash Association (SSA) at the general council held at Hyderabad the other day. The general council also re-elected Dewan M Yousuf Farooqui as chairman of the body while M Amir Khan was elected as secretary. The house highly praised the contribution of Dewan M Yousuf Farooqui for his efforts in contributing to the success of Sindh Squash and especially the achievement of the PSF Pride of Performance, which the SSA has been getting since last three years. Representatives from Nawabshah district briefed the house about the efforts put in by Ms Faryal Talpur MNA, for taking the initiative for the construction of two international squash courts at Nawabshah. The house praised the contribution of Ms Faryal Talpur for her contribution towards the promotion of the game of squash. The house also praised the contribution of Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui secretary sports Sindh for his hard work in the promotion of the sports culture in the Sindh province. The house also passed a resolution for grants in aid from Sindh Sports Board to affiliated district squash associations of Sindh. The newly-elected president Engineer Tahir Khanzada SSA thanked the house for the support shown by the General Council members. He also assured the house to work closely with all the affiliated district squash association of Sindh in the future.
