LAHORE – Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khan Khosa Sunday said the relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh are strong and deep rooted based on mutual history and culture.
During a meeting-cum-dinner in honour of the members of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) led by BCB president Mustafa Kamal at Governor House, Punjab Governor said the cricket was most popular game in South Asia that could play a very significant role in bringing people to a common platform of love, respect, prosperity and stability. Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Zaka Ashraf and other PCB officials were also present on the occasion. Khosa emphasised that there should be greater exchange in the field of sport to further goodwill between the two countries. He stressed upon the need of exchange of trade and parliamentary delegations, participation in trade fairs and other joint ventures. Khosa also briefed the visiting delegation about overall improvement in the security environment of the country and hoped that Pakistan-Bangladesh relations would continue to promote in future as well.
