ISLAMABAD - Pakistan No 1 player Aqeel Khan will start the proceedings for Pakistan in the Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group-II semi-final tie against Philippines today (Friday) at 7am PST.
Talking to TheNation on Thursday from Manila, Aqeel Khan said: “I will play the first singles match, while Yasir will play the second singles match for the country. I will play then doubles with Jalil next day, if Yasir performs well then he will be use for the all important singles tie, otherwise we have the luxury of having Jalil at our disposal.” “As we reached Manila yesterday and we can't find much time for practice, even then I am quite hopeful I will perform up to my abilities and try to get the upper hand for the country by winning the all important first match,” Pakistan No 1 concluded.
