LAHORE The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday said it was willing to lift the ban on former captain Shoaib Malik if he made an appeal. PCB chairman Ijaz Butt was quoted by a website that the board might consider lifting the one-year ban on Shoaib. Shoaib - who is in a legal wrangle because of his alleged marriage to Hyderabad woman Ayesha Siddiqui - was banned for a year after the Pakistani teams tour of Australia earlier this year. This was part of a sweeping crackdown by the PCB on senior players. Referring to the ban, former Pakistan cricketer Sarfaraz Nawaz had accused Shoaib of fixing matches.
