KARACHI - PIA's Aizaz Bin Ilyas captured seven Karachi Blues wickets for 65 to restrict the home team to a paltry 146 on the first day of the four day last match of the league of the Quaid Azam Trophy Division I here at the National stadium on Thursday. PIA captain Faisal Iqbal read the pitch intelligently and after winning the toss invited the opponents to bat first. His move proved correct and Karachi Blues innings was in all sports of trouble. At the close of the days play PIA had posted 155 for three with Agha Sabir still at the crease undefeated 74. Pakistan's former test skipper Shoaib Malik got 21 runs before getting out. PIA captain Faisal Iqbal was not out 49 at the draw of stumps. Karachi Blues batsman could not handle Aizaz Ilyas who forced the home batsman to make mistakes. Only two Karachi batsmen Ramiz Raja and Akber ur Rehman resisted him to get good personal score. Ramiz Raja got 63 hitting nine fours while Akber made 30 in 35 balls.
