ISLAMABAD  -The 52nd National Men and 13th National Women's (Open) Swimming Championship (50 M) will be held from 13 to 15 June 2014 under the auspices of the Pakistan Swimming Federation and Pakistan Women's Swimming Association at Pakistan Sports Board Swimming Pool Complex. All the affiliated member of the Federation including Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Baluchistan, Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, Army, Navy, PAF, WAPDA, HEC and Railway will participate in the Championship. A total of 38 events (19 for male and 19 for female) will be contested for the Championship trophy. Pakistan Army are the defending champion.
Championship would also serve as open trials for following international competitions for the year 2014/2015: XX Commonwealth Games, Glasgow (23 July - 3 August 2014), 2nd Youth Olympic Games, Nanjing, China (16 - 28 August 2014), 17th Asian Games, Incheon, Korea (19 September - 4 October 2014), 12th FINA World Championships (25m), Doha, Qatar (3 - 7 December 2014), 16th FINA World Championship, Kazan (19 July - 2 August 2015), 12th South Asian Games, India.
