LAHORE - Deputy Speaker Rana Mashhood on Tuesday has said that all the Sports Board Punjab employees from grade 1 to 18 will be awarded honorarium for their all-out efforts in organizing Punjab Sports Festival 2012.
“In order to acknowledge their efforts in conducting such a successful event, we have decided to award honorarium amounting Rs 2,280,000 to all the SBP employees from grade 1 to 18,” he said. He also announced to nominate the Punjab Sports Festival 2012 for the Guinness Book of World Record.
The historical festival gained its popularity as 1.25 million participants were present in this event. He appreciated the efforts of the Sports Board Punjab’s employees and the co-operation of media.  DG SBP Usman Anwar said that the sports board also decided to establish the media center in order to prompt news execution.
 “We will establish a media centre which is the dire need of the hour as it will help in organizing al the events successfully,” he believed.
He said that Sports Festival would be orgainsed every year and we would also hold grass root level events to hunt the talent.
