Imperial School, Beaconhouse bag top positions

ISLAMABAD - The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Private schools Association organised the Inter-School Female Soccer Tournament under the auspices of the Islamabad Football Association here on Friday at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Friday. Imperial International School and Beaconhouse School System thrashed their opponents in the final to win the Islamabad-Rawalpindi Private Schools Football Championship in the boys and girls categories respectively. More than 32 schools took part in the competition. In the boys under-13 final, Imperial International School (IIS) beat Frobles 1-0. Umer Malik scored a field goal in the 41st minute of the game while the IIS skipper Bahlol Khan and Kamil Shahid also performed exceptionally during the whole match. In the girls category final, Beaconhouse School System (BSS) thrashed City School Islamabad by 3-0. Iman Ansar scored a brace for the victors in the 17th and 32nd minute of the game while Sidra Ashraf scored the third goal in the 43rd minute to put the game beyond the City School reach. Rector Care University Brig (R) Aqbal Shaffi was the chief guest on the occasion while President Islamabad Football Association (IFA) Dr Fazul-ul Rehman along with the diplomats from different countries was also there to witness the matches. A large number of students and parents were also there to cheer up the players.
