SYDNEY (AFP) Melbourne Victory said Thursday they had agreed to sell first-choice goalkeeper Mitch Langerak to top-flight German club Borussia Dortmund, subject to medical tests. Football operations manager Gary Cole said Langerak, 21, has been at the club since 2007, when he joined as a junior. There is no doubt we wanted to retain the services of Mitch for next season, but both the opportunity for him at a massive European club, and the transfer deal for the club, has led to this outcome, said Cole. While it will be sad to see Mitch go, Melbourne Victory prides itself on player development and with a player of Mitchs quality, we always felt it was only a matter of time before European teams would come knocking. Langerak helped Victory reach Marchs A-League grand final, where they were beaten on penalties by Sydney FC.
