DG SBP sees off Punjab athletics teams

LAHORE – The Sports Board Punjab (SBP) boys’ U-14 and girls’ U-16 athletics team left for Karachi to participate in the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB)’s Inter-Provincial Youth Athletics under the auspices of Sindh Sports Board (SSB) in Karachi from May 15 to 17. Both the teams (boys and girls) were seen off by Director General Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Usman Anwar. Addressing on the occasion, DG SBP Usman Anwar said that the Sports Board Punjab had been playing important role to enhance the abilities of the youth as Punjab had clean swept in the U-16 swimming event by winning all the 11 gold medals. “All the credit of the victories in swimming event goes to successful holding of the Punjab Youth Festival. I hope the Punjab athletics teams will perform well to earn more laurels,” he added.–Staff Reporter
