Muqaddas, Sammer in Pakistan squad

ISLAMABAD - Muqaddas Ashraf and Sammer Anjum on Tuesday played their best squash to book berth in the Pakistan team for the upcoming Asian Senior Women Team Squash Championship which will commence from June 10 in Hong Kong. Both Muqaddas and Sammer proved their mettle during the trials by remaining unbeaten in all their four matches which they played so far. Now they will play their final trial match against each other today (Wednesday) while the fourth and last place on offer could go either to veteran Saima Shoukat or young Riffat Khan as they will play their last match today (Wednesday) against each other. The winner of the match will earn the fourth place in the squad while top Pakistan squash player Maria Toor was exempted from trial matches and given straight entry in the team.–Staff Reporter
