One more pacer should be in Test squad: Hafeez

KARACHI
Pakistan Twenty20 captain M Hafeez termed the national team selected for South Africa Test series balanced one but felt that one more fast bowler should have been included in it.  Hafeez said the coming series would be challenging as South Africa was world No. 1 Test team. “We are going to play Test series after a gap of seven months but we will not let the nation down.”
Pakistan is capable to face the challenges and live up to the expectations," he added.
To a query over the selection controversy between team management and captain, he said: "I was not present in the meeting as I am Twenty20 captain, however, if there was something between Misbahul Haq and selectors, I am unaware of it."
“As a captain, we can only give our opinion to the selectors and they have the right to select squad,” he said.
“South Africa is one of the formidable batting line sides but we have also some good bowlers in Umer Gul, Junaid Khan and M Irfan, who will be successful in bouncing pitches there and we have also world class spinners Saeed Ajmal and Abdul Rehman,” he added.
He also urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to arrange more Tests for Pakistan team as this version of cricket could produce great cricketers. He also praised the board for holding Award ceremony of cricketers and now was working for Pakistan Super League, which he believes, would pave way for revival of international cricket in Pakistan.
