PCB refutes report

LAHORE (PR)  - The Pakistan Cricket board (PCB), in a clarification, has refuted the claims of an article published in TheNation regarding players getting less cash rewards. In its clarification, the board said the claims were not true as the team got Rs 0.5 million each for India series win and also the board deemed the cash attached to each annual award i.e. Rs 200,000 enough for players as the purpose of the Annual Awards is not dishing out cash but to honour and acknowledge performances and the performers.
That is why the ICC Awards carry no cash incentive, and neither do the world famous Oscars. The board also said it’s the duty of PCB chairman to go for foreign tours in order to maintain good cricketing relations with other boards as well as to attend ICC and ACC meetings and to visit with the team to witness its performance, so it is wrong to criticize his foreign tours.
