Three matches played in ITL

ISLAMABAD - The first Inter-club Islamabad Tennis League (ITL) commenced simultaneously at three venues, with main matches were held at Islamabad Tennis Complex on Monday. The ITL, which will continue for the next 14 to 15 weeks, is being contested between seven clubs of Islamabad and each club has to play twice against the other club on home and away basis on every Friday. Total nine categories including veteran’s doubles, men’s singles and doubles, U-18, U-14, U-11 singles, ladies singles and mixed doubles will be played during the event. In the first week, three matches were played. In the first match, Islamabad Club outclassed Navy, in the second match, Police edged out Gun Club while in the third match, Modern Club overwhelmed E-9 Club.–Staff Reporter
